Hey, hey we're the Monty's...

I've been waiting for this pic to arrive for well over a year and this morning it landed in my inbox, Tims detailed rendition of The Monty's! Once the most famous pop band (circa 1960's) in the country, now a novelty act who travel the country in their retro bus, performing at shopping malls.

They only play a small role in Book One, but play a much larger role in Book Two!!

Work Continues...

Book One

As Tim and I head towards the finish of Dave: Zombie Hunter Book One, I thought I'd post an example of the evolving look. On the left of this image is the artwork as finished by Tim and then on the right the same page but with a bit of 'grunge' added to it.

Hopefully it replicates a bit of that "Night Of The Living Dead" look and feel, but without sacrificing all the detail and 'awesome' that Tim puts into the artwork.

Fonts, size of type and borders on panels are all still being adjusted and played with. Paper stock samples are coming into the studio tomorrow (exciting), so I can see exactly what we'll be printing onto. It's all systems go!

REVENGE

Well I'm proud as punch!! My first published comic book work is out and available for anyone who should wish to purchase and read it!!

It's been a long, long, long ride to this moment, no matter how small it may seem to some. I've been writing and drawing my own tale's ever since I can remember and to have someone else place some faith in my work and plop it into their publication is not only exciting, but inspiring.

I'm up to about Page 5 of the full comic, things are held up a little as Anthony (the writer) and his wife are due to give birth fairly soon and that's obviously a priority!! But I'm very much enjoying putting this story together. I hope you all enjoy reading it!!

Site news and FistFull of Comics details

Hello again!

www.davezombiehunter.com is now up and running! It's light on content at this stage, but there's plenty more to come as we get closer to finishing the book and the release of the FistFull of Comics preview.

Speaking of which, we've got a confirmed 7 pages appearing in issue #4, which will be released in August. The story is a short prequel that focuses it's attention on Tiberius Magus a young soldier in WWII. HOW that relates to the actual graphic novel is something you'll have to read to find out. Teaser art will be posted as Tim finishes it.

Fingers crossed, we should be able to sell copies of the FistFull comic through www.davezombiehunter.com and also through www.snarkhunters.com but don't forget you can order it already via wwwpulpfictioncomics.com

New Site

Hey all, The awesome folks at www.snarkunters.com (check 'em out) have very generously provided us with some space online to set up camp with a proper website for Dave. We're still constructing the full site, which will eventually (hopefully) include a shop to buy the book (when it's done) t-shirts and possibly the 'soundtrack' by Adelaide muso legend John McCall. FistFull Of Comics

Hey all. Well it looks like the FistFull story will be appearing in issue 3, which is about 8 weeks away I believe. Exact date will be posted when I have confirmation from the awesome Owen who puts it all together. 

Tim and I are taking a break from producing the full novel and putting together a special side story especially for FistFull Of Comics. I've just finished the second draft of the story and we're getting together this weekend to discuss the artwork. 

I suspect it's going to be pretty spectacular (when is Tim's art not?). You should keep in mind that this short story will NOT be appearing in the graphic novel when it is printed. If you want to read it then you MUST purchase FistFull of Comics #3. 

You will be able to and likely already can, order it online via Pulp Fiction Comics

Quiet...

Dear everyone,

All may be quiet at the moment on the blogging front where the book is concerned. Rest assured Tim is still kicking ass (got 2 new pages through the other day) and we're still trucking ahead towards a tasty self published extravanganza. I will post some new pics soon, there's far too many that are far too awesome and I don't want to break the internet in half, so softly, softly. 

In the mean time if any of you are desperate to read more of my ramblings prior to Dave's completion you can do so over at www.snarkhunters.com where I blog about all sorts of random things and incite rage over my punctuation skills (as far as I'm concerned that's what editors are for!) When Dave is done you WILL be able to purchase the book via the snarkhunters website (and possibly t-shirts!), so go and get familiar with the pursuit of happiness...
